SCANIA K93 coach speed limiter

Hi,
Would anyone know how to reprogram the speed limiter, or, if necessary, disable it.the limiter has a diag switch. No idea what it does, or what position it's supposed to be in.

Re: Scania K93 - so many questions

Dazthecowboy, email me at galaxys1961@gmail.com and I'll send you the K93 Driver Manual PDF.

Type SCANIA K93 in the Subject line, so I can find it when it arrives.

Cheers,
Tony

DENAIR,

I know it's been over 10 years and the images above are no longer available. Would you have a pic of DFM430 MELBA MCA / CAT3208?

Cheers.

1997 SCANIA K93 - Fuel gauge telling lies

Our bus tells lies. :-( When it's got 100L-200L, or so, it says it's half full. (315L tank) A while later, it says it's got 1/3-2/3 of a tank. Removed the gauge and found the 220 ohm resistor was a bit high and suspected that it maybe breaking down, under voltage. Replaced with a new 220 ohm. Still ...

1997 Scania K93CRB diagnostic port

Would anyone know how to access the diag port, in the fuse/relay cabinet, in this Scania?
The port has a screw cap to protect it from the elements, but I have no idea what's required to talk to it.

Thanks.

Re: Mercedes gearbox type

Guy, the bus model, OH1418, always had the OM366 engine installed, an underpowered 180HP. The 1418 came out with both the 5 and 6 speed boxes. The O303, O404, etc had different engines. I'll see if can find the gearbox manual elsewhere. Thanks. I CHECKED MY RECORDS I FOUND THAT THE OM 366A MOTOR IS ...

Re: MELBA coach gearbox reverse switch

Thanks boronia.

It turns out that I was looking at the wrong switch. :-( The ZF reverse switch, for this model, is on the very back of the gearbox. The two pins had fallen apart and the wires, of course, fell off.
No switches in Australia, according to ZF, so new one on order from Germany.

Cheers.

MELBA coach gearbox reverse switch

Hi, A friend is converting his 88 MELBA coach into a motorhome. An issue that has arisen is that the reverse lights stay on. We removed the reverse switch from the gearbox. It's in the closed position, allowing 24v to feed the lights. Pushing the plunger creates an open circuit, when the switch is r...

Mercedes 1418 bus and QLD rego advice please

Hi,

We are looking at buying a '92 Mercedes 1418 bus (Austral Denning body) to convert into a motorhome.

Has anyone had any experience with this model? Are there any issues in regards to engine, registering an 11.7m long bus in QLD etc?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.
