Re: Victorian Rail and Tram Observations 2024
Sometimes, they attach a power van to locomotive-hauled trains for extra assurance, particularly during hot weather when the locomotive alone cannot be relied on to give the passenger cars airconditioning.

Re: NSW Electric Bus Plan
I'd say it is a maybe for now. The BP4 has only just been released. I suspect it'll be a good while until Any TfNSW operators in Metro Sydney start purchasing new buses again.

Re: Victorian Bus Observations 2024
will be interesting to see if Dysons will acquire the entire fleet, just the public buses or the Ivecos in the PTV livery. If they do indeed end up acquiring the route buses in the Moonee valley coaches livery, it will be interesting to see if they end up repainting the newer buses into their livery...

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?
I find the self-serve checkouts very annoying to deal with at times. Occasionally, they require assistance. However, I certainly don't think they will go away in the future if we still insist on getting rid of all the boring jobs and focus on more creative work. I generally prefer a manned checkout ...

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?
Yeah, NO. TfNSW can absolutely p**s right off with that idea until they agree to get rid of the braindead licence-based speed limits; those ones that are causing Learner and P1 platers to hold maximum 90 on a 110 freeway. I definitely agree here, In VIC they don't have this issue but it's unclear w...

Re: Bus Observations 2023
Saw this in the DDA regulations posted above: "Destination displays which simultaneously show both ends of a route are confusing and should be avoided." Does this mean that 'loop' routes should have a destination board change midway through the route? In that case, why not go the extra mi...

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?
It would be worth contacting Transperth directly and venting your frustrations at them, so they know that the general public are generally unsatisfied with this new approach of theirs. The excuses to date have included "the maps weren't updated in time for the opening of the Airport line"...

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?
Transperth not providing local bus network maps. I probably might sound like a broken record for some but I'm not a fan of not having local bus network maps, something one would think is extremely crucial for navigation around a public transport system. I'm not sure about anyone here, but I find it ...
