Re: PTA / Transperth Service Changes - 2020

Just a quick shout to those of you taking the time to document service changes. I use it try to stay on top of things to keep my timetable database up to date. As you can see in my sig, it's not been done for a few months as a lack of spare time and changing interests have taken their toll. Now tha...

Re: Interesting/Odd Buses

For me the most interesting looking buses I drove was 444 (different body shape and fully enclosed cash tray door) at Karrinyup and 747 (with the at skin off livery) at Palmyra. Also at Palmyra was 54 which at the time was decked out with MetroBus livery (like my avatar). Also worth a mention was t...

Re: Timetable project of mine

I believe the download link in my sig is fixed (for now). It appears Dropbox have changed the way files are shared which more than likely created the dead link. I'll admit I am way behind in the project at present as I made the change to Linux on my home PC and it has taken a lot of my available sp...

Re: Timetable project of mine

And on that note, does anyone have maps of the 8-12(?) series of routes, which as I understand were fairly long through routes from Nedlands to Beckenham, and the long series of routes that ran to the domestic airport? The only electronic version of those routes I have are in the Armadale 14 timeta...

Re: Timetable project of mine

My timetable collection goes back to early 2000's when pdf versions of timetables started appearing on the Transperth web site. Back in those days, timetables were in the Fremantle Midland Armadale Joondalup series . As for the broken links in my sig, I'll look into fixing that as Dropbox appears t...

They also make: (Noticeably on the Armadale C pattern, on the express section between Claisebrook and Oats St) "Please refrain from consuming food and drink on the train." (As it approaches Perth Stn) "This is Perth, please mind the gap." You also hear this one as it goes over the Roe Hwy flyover. ...

Re: Timetable project of mine

Latest lot for 7th October. One omission I've noted with the stand changes in St Georges Tce is the 930 ( Timetable 208 ). This has not been reprinted to show the new stands so I've noted it in the pending section of the spreadsheet. I've also included the composite Timetable 87 and it's history - ...

Re: Timetable project of mine

"Bus Timetable 87" exists on 20171119, 20180128 and now 20181007, as the composited timetables along Morrison Road Midland. Routes included in this timetable are 313, 314, 315, 323, 324, 325 and 327. As described before this timetable will be updated as a pair from Bus Timetable 86. Thanks for that...

Re: Timetable project of mine

Hey I've just got onto this site, and I noticed in the timetable project, the 201 route is outdated. It reads Carousel-Bentley Hospital-Carousel. The route was updated last year to run Cannington Station - Curtin University via Bentley Hospital and Bentley Plaza, with select deviations to Activ Ind...

The 220 between Armadale & Cannington is also duplicated by the train it has very low weekend patronage the recent weekend withdrawal of the 249 reflects this and a lot of people either live within walking distance of the train station or have their own private vehicle and those travelling to the h...

By then, it will be time for full-scale withdrawals of the first OCs. I think that time is a way off yet. There's been a fair amount of expenditure put into refurbishing various sections of the gas infrastructure over recent years which suggests it'll be the early to mid 2020's before this is consi...

It's worthwhile adding that this process has been happening across the country for some time. We went through the same process here in Perth 20 years ago and our system has settled down and matured in that time. There will be teething problems as the new operators take over which is to be expected ...

Re: WA Transport General Discussion & Questions - 2018

Yesterday, I noticed TP0107 (ex-CAT Bus) operating the 362F at the Perth Busport. I noticed that there were air vents being placed at the back of the OC500LE CNG bus. I believe that a few ex-CAT OC500LE buses have been retrofitted with the air vents at the back. I think that's a Path thing. When I ...
