Re: Light rail gets the green light: stage 1 UNSW to CBD

Scott4570, I've scraped your data to try to get some statistics. Due to the nightmare of formatting, I've put all the times in the top part (except for the round trips using the inbound arrival time at Moore Park). Dwell = difference between arrival and departure time for all services at Moore Park ...

Yep, Tapatalk not working for me either.

But the web layout on my iPad on the trip down Botany road this morning on the 309X was pretty damn good !!

I praise the iron will of the admin and moderator team, notably nowadays Fleet Lists and The Phonj , for keeping this forum alive at whatever costs. I confess that I am one of the silent members and only a new one at that!! My statistics will surely show that. My background in public transportation...

Interesting that the public holiday timetable is the same as the weekday one, in that public holidays get the peak period 4 minute frequency, but both Saturday & Sunday don't.

Re: Light rail gets the green light: stage 1 UNSW to CBD

The tram run around the loop could be faster with proper (swiveling bogie) trams and an operating style with more oomph, but even with the present crawl, I invite you to start your stopwatch and compare: 1. Accessing CSELR at Rawson Place from the upper concourse compared with crossing a couple of s...

L1 may not have a stop on Grand Concourse for much longer. Why do you say that? Is that hotel proposal still active?. Re: Light rail gets the green light: stage 1 UNSW to CBD

The intersection at Anzac Pde and Alison St's is starting to show it's importance. I've been involved with logistisc this week to get gear to a festival in Centenial Park, and its been unpredictable to say the least. But here me out... The massive intersection upgrade that started a year or two ago...

Re: Inner West Light Rail observations

As stated previously, the crossover before Wentworth Park or the siding at Lilyfield would make more sense. There is no point running additional frequencies on sections that don't need it. Plus any 2nd platform at Dulwich Hill would be pretty compromised unless you want to move a substation, and a ...

Re: Sydney Metro West announced

I'm actually surprised they choose a new Olympic Park Station, rather than converting the existing one into Metro, and get rid of the Lidcombe Shuttle. The new Metro will connect Olympic Park to Parramatta, the CBD and the new North Stratfield interchange. Although it looks like a bit of a "strandi...

I think they are trying to achieve a few things, without the bill, although I struggle to see how the bill will be cheap... My comments here are totally armchair, I have no background in rail planning whatsoever !! The Westmead location, well all I can assume is that it is intended to both relieve a...

Re: New bus network arising from SMNW opening

. Time for some new talent perhaps? What I think it is time to do is to attach some sort of smart number plate to all vehicles. Find out where they are all coming from and going to, and when. Companies like Google and Uber already do this by using phone user data. Not sure I’d be happy with the Gov...

So just to put another tangent into this thread... Is it time to include (at least Saturday PM) to the bus lane network hours of operation... Went from Liverpool Rd to the CBD today about lunch time, and Parramatta road was chocka's, all the usual spots: Old Canterbury Rd, West St, Norton/Chrystal S...

Re: New bus network arising from SMNW opening

Nightride as such is a thing of the past. New overnight routes are being integrated into the bus region network. see 333N etc. This is probably not specific to this thread, but I do think the Nightride service could do with a bit of an overhaul. Or more along the lines of working out what the requi...

A new timetable is available from 1 July. https://transportnsw.info/documents/timetables/93-M-Sydney-Metro-North-West-20190701.pdf A service at a minimum of every 10 minutes, from 04:05 - 01:05 inward (04:25 - 01:25 outward), 365 days a year! Re: Introducing OPAL Card

Was on the M20 today, sat in the seat at the front. Counted 3 people who didn’t tap on. To give credit to one , they did the “omg, I’ve got no credit act” after spending an extended time fishing out the card from the handbag trick. Who needs freebies when you can pull this junket day-in-day out? Sen...
