Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?

• BLM protests. • Drivers using high beam lights with on-traffic coming. The can also get in the way of pedestrians. • Taxi drivers that use Bus Zone only bays. • Bus drivers that crawl like a snail, and or especially park at an angle with the back of the bus in the other lane either making it hard...

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?

Annoys me when some idiot boards a bus, and let out a huge cough whilst walking down the aisle with no attempt to cover their mouths whatsoever. During the current crisis it's even worse. Selfish bastards these ferals are. I think the announcements on the trains have no purpose, as at least 75% of t...

Re: [July/Aug 2020] SA transport observations

The following buses(MAN NL 202) are now at Port Depot-246-247-275(ex 2750). 246 was the Serco vehicle involved in that crossing acident in 2002. So I don't think this is smart (re)numbering considering it's an identical build. May trigger flashbacks. Since ex 2724 was renumbered to 2751 after an in...

RTI is showing up for at least some, if not all TT services at the moment. But nothing for Southlink services, including the hills.

Report the douchebag! This fella sounds like he's high on something, or out of his mind. But in reality, most buses in Adelaide are governed to 85kph (even some MANs). If you remember the bus number and which day and time it was, then dob him in ASAP. You could even report it to the police due to ex...

Re: Knoll faces Liberal Party revolt on bus cuts

An obvious omission from the article that PaxInfo linked to is trains running express to and from Dry Creek on weekends. With Ovingham to Kilburn being skipped, with an hourly frequency from these stations. It was mentioned on Farcebook that this was an attempt to reduce patronage in order to justif...

Re: Consultation on new AdMet Network

I honestly don't mind the idea of removing time points though. This is something that should still be considered. Many drivers still ignore the fact that certain time points are non-compulsory. Lonsdale drivers not excluded here. It would be easy to implement, but a nuisance for those who are not fa...

Asstechs. Disastrous examples of alleged engineering. The bumps and nonstop vibrations just make every trip on one a living hell!

ABC news almost treating the 10 millionth case as a milestone. In regards to what it is, this article confirms it, as I don't wanna cause armageddon with my naming of it.

Re: Knoll faces Liberal Party revolt on bus cuts

It might help if their timetables were actually realistic as well. The 'N721' requires one to drive the bus like a lunatic to stay on time. No time whatsoever for stops/red lights/anything. I know I've complained about loose timetables, but one can only deduct so many minutes before it becomes impos...

Re: Current Bus Contracts/Renewals

Probably for the same reason that the Noarlunga train has the same amount of time in peak that it has on a Sunday night. One size fits all with trains (and train substitutes). Conditions never change at any time of day. Footy crowds from the DPTI's point of view are really just two teenagers wearing...

Re: Current Bus Contracts/Renewals

It must be an error. I heard from someone who works there years ago that it is officially called Edinburgh North. I've mentioned this several times.

Even over the radio, you'll hear eg 'Edinburgh North to 1385', not 'Elizabeth'.

Will the Flinders train service even run on weekends? There are currently no trains that serve the branch from Woodlands Park after hours.

Re: Knoll faces Liberal Party revolt on bus cuts

Will it save money, which will satisfy a Liberal government? Most certainly.

Regardless of how nonbeneficial it is to many, at the end of the day, it's all that matters to them.

Vigilantes

So the other day, I noticed an Adelaide driver yelling at fare evaders and trying to scare them with mentions of them being caught whilst delaying the bus by about 5 minutes. It was a Transit Systems operated route. It was actually an older driver, who looked to be in his 60s. This is not the first ...

And what's annoying me right now is the fact that this bloody forum is loading without difficulty, yet G****e and Yahoo are as dead as a kite, at least from a connectivity point of view.

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?

Almost getting back pain from the vibrating backrests on a particular poorly assembled type of bus. I honestly don't understand how I'm the only one that notices it and complains about it. Feel it on every bump, and this is when leaning forward to avoid the full discomfort. Shake after shake. Bloody...

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?

Did this driver in question repeatedly tap the accelerator in the bus? Newer Scanias are so uncomfortable when the driver drives like this. I thought acceleration was down to the horsepower of the engine, and power delay absence. I've heard that the Sydney Volvos get from 0 to 60 in 10 seconds. I've...

Re: What gives you the S&#T's!?

Getting on a stuffed bus, where people absolutely refuse to sit directly next to each other although it's stuffed and wouldn't hurt anybody in the end, and people refuse to move up to the high floor. To top it off, harsh braking and turning which made me feel as if my hip would brake from having to...

Re: Consultation on new AdMet Network

The proposed network is almost equivalent to having a Sunday timetable in effect, albeit with extra peak services. I won't be surprised if some drivers are sacked due to a surplus.

It is not about refinement or improvement. It is merely penny pinching by an anti-PT government.

Re: Torrens Transit Bustechs.

In the STA days, at least some of the original overwidth MAN SL200s had a standard grey look to them. And their window lines were normal, along with backrests that didn't vibrate and shake every time they went over a dip/bump/uneven section of road. No unsightly attempts at artwork near the front of...
