Re: Light rail gets the green light: stage 1 UNSW to CBD
The light rail is so pathetic the way its run right now. The govt should get rid of transdev and replace them with someone else who will run the light rail properly.

Re: Light rail gets the green light: stage 1 UNSW to CBD
Will the light ever be given faster travel times to the 30-35min time range. Its still so slow and the traffic light priority is crap and no-one is using it as a result. it seems that the light rail is a complete failure and a big waste of money, nothing more than a massive white elephant.

Re: Light rail gets the green light: stage 1 UNSW to CBD
It will be nice to finally see some form of rail transport to Kingsford become a reality very soon, after the proposed ESR to there was cancelled. That ESR extension to kingsford was cancelled because there were some NIMBY's who didnt want it and Neville Wrann came along and promised to cancel it i...

Re: Light rail gets the green light: stage 1 UNSW to CBD
Just a quick question... I haven't been to Randwick/Kingsford for over a month now, and am just wondering, are they testing on the L3 Kingsford Line on weekends; or is it just on weekdays? I am more so referring to the Kingsford branch from Moore Park to Juniors Kingsford. :) Just wondering. :) Che...

Re: Light rail gets the green light: stage 1 UNSW to CBD
It seems to me that it all depends on the drivers themselves as to whether the trams they are driving take 38min or 45-50min to do the route end to end.

Re: Light rail gets the green light: stage 1 UNSW to CBD
I saw a few weird things happening on Thursday night at Central - Chalmers St. At about 7.15pm I got off a southbound terminating service and told a few tourists on board "this tram is not going any further". It emptied out, with assistance from two staff on the platform and some new plat...

Re: Northern Beaches BRT: B-Line to transform Northern Beach
I had a look at the B-line website again. It is interesting to see the questions people ask their website. There are, for some non-obvious reason, two sets of questions and answers running to pages and pages and pages. A couple of things stand out: There seems to be actually a high level of hostili...

Re: Light Rail to Glebe Island/Bays Precinct
The light rail could get to glebe island by briefly traveling down broadway then harris st, millers st, bank st and then onto the glebe island bridge, which could then allow for a light rail line along victoria road in the future.

Fact about the depot: DId you know that the depot for the new light rail link was where the massive Randwick racecourse stop was when Sydney last had trams?

Re: *Opal Card INFRASTRUCTURE roll-out progress ONLY*
Went on a V bus this afternoon at Manly, route 136, where all readers were down (Configuring IP address). The buses seem to be more problematic than the trains. I was on a Volvo B10BLE from Brookvale last Friday. Tapped on successfully, but upon arriving the stop, the readers refused to activate an...

Re: *Opal Card INFRASTRUCTURE roll-out progress ONLY*
V will be activated tomorrow(7th). F will be activated on the 8th. None of the buses I have seen are sporting the Opal Sticker on the front bumper bar. Might they have to re program the desto to display OPAL BUS??? not necessary. Placing the opal stickers on the outside of the bus is very easy and ...
