| FURTHER IDEAS IF A BODY PLATE IS MISSING FROM BUS | ||
| 1. Look for a possible number simular to a body number inside header/desto box.(Sometimes starting with SB or SD for leopards) | ||
| 2. Chullora overhauls had the fleet number written with a texta on the stainless steel step well under No.3 desto box,behind doors (when open) | ||
| 3. Next plate to look for is a silver compliance plate
located behind the drivers seat above the bulkhead window, There are a lot
of numbers on this, one who knows what they are looking for will find the body number.(from memory the bottom RH corner and is on the end of a larger number after a / for example 15A4889G/182) |
||
| 4. Chassis number will not have a body number, but can be used for vehicle checking later, only if you have access to a list of random chassis numbers used, (no I don't have any lists !) | ||
| 5. Simple locations of fittings like school lights, or if the side desto units or centre doors are removed or not may help narrow down the possibilities for working out the buses origin. | ||
| 6. It's a hard case to solve, but just try to note as much as possible I hope this info is useful to somebody. Any further ideas welcome. | ||
| SO NEXT TIME YOU SEE ONE OF THE ABOVE BUSES, DON'T WONDER WHAT NUMBER IT IS, GET THE BODY INFO AND WORK IT OUT! THEN COMPARE THE INFO IN THE LISTS HERE |
